The National Retail Federation (NRF) needed to contextualize the complex factors contributing to rising consumer costs and pressure on retailers. In response, we created Inflationland, a gameboard-style microsite illustrating the journey and challenges faced by everyday products before reaching retailers. The interactive site utilized recognizable game elements to depict obstacles like material shortages and supply chain issues, educating users on inflation's impact and encouraging engagement with policymakers. Inflationland's success in educating diverse audiences led to its recognition as a finalist at the North American SABRE Awards 2023 in the Non-corporate-Associations category, highlighting its role in NRF's larger campaign to urge Congress to address inflation through policy reforms.
