Throughout the 2010s, the American Medical Association (AMA) took notice of the growing concern surrounding surging drug prices, impacting both households and medical facilities. In response, the #TruthinRx advocacy platform initially centered on drug price transparency but evolved to spotlight Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBMs) as pivotal contributors to these escalating costs. The revitalization of aimed to showcase this pivot, highlighting PBM involvement and offering a hub for engagement and information sharing. Notably, the site's navigation color was adjusted to reflect different campaign phases, aligning with a game illustrating the hurdles patients face when accessing medications, shedding light on the challenges within the PBM system. Furthermore, site updates focused on improving content organization and user experience, complemented by targeted videos catering to both the general public and policymakers to underscore the significant role of PBMs.
